Þvörusleikir is the fourth of the Yule Lads.
Spoon Licker comes down from the mountains on 15 December. In the past he would sneak into the houses and lick the wooden spoon used to scrape the pots
The fourth was Spoon Licker;
like spindle he was thin.
He felt himself in clover
when the cook wasn't in.
Then stepping up, he grappled
the stirring spoon with glee,
holding it with both hands
for it was slippery.
Börkur is one of the best horses owned by Íshestar Riding Centre. His is big, strong and handsome. He is only used for experienced riders and is the guide´s favorite. Börkur is tough on the outside but soft on the inside! Þvörusleikir is Börkur´s (and Elin, our stable manager) favorite.

The horses were friendly, calm, and delightful to ride. We spent most of the trip walking, but occasionally put the horses into a little trot which was exhilarating and just a little scary! I highly recommend this tour (Day Tour at the Riding Center), and I would love to do it again. This was one of the highlights of our amazing trip to Iceland.
